Feb. 26: Winter weather impacts university operations; some university centers closed

A winter storm Wednesday night and Thursday morning has covered many parts of Virginia with snow again. Visit the Virginia Tech News website for the latest announcements on how conditions affect university operations.

8:30 a.m. update: The Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine will open at noon today. Classes starting before noon are canceled.

8:15 a.m. update: The Reynolds Homestead  is closed today. All classes are canceled.

7:50 a.m. update: The Virginia Beach and Newport News locations of the Hampton Roads Center are closed today. All classes are canceled.

6:45 a.m. update: The Richmond Center is closed today. All classes are canceled.

A snow emergency was declared for the Blacksburg campus effective at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Parking restrictions will be in effect.
