The development of an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is an integral part of the emergency management system at Virginia Tech. The plan outlines the actions that personnel in a department will take to address immediate life safety during an emergency.
To that end, all university departments have designated EAP coordinators who are responsible for maintaining an updated plan for the department.
Departments should update and submit plans annually through the Office of Emergency Management Planning Portal.
In addition, the Building Emergency Coordinators (BEC) or their alternate for each campus building should complete and submit the Building Annex Plan through the same portal.
Updates for both plans are due August 1.
