The Police Department is now accepting applications from faculty and staff who would like to participate in the next session of Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) System program.

The four-part course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. Participants learn self-defense tactics and techniques.

The free course is taught by Virginia Tech Police Department officers.

The summer course will meet May 25, June 1,8, and 16.

Classes meet from 2-5 p.m. in the Jamerson Athletic Center at 21 Beamer Way, in the Bowman Room.
