Hundreds of Virginia Tech staff members came together on Wednesday, April 26 at the German Club Manor to learn about the principles of servant leadership.

The annual event is sponsored by the university's Staff Senate and funded by more than a dozen colleges and departments.

During the event, president Timothy Sands awarded the 2017 McComas Staff Leadership Award to Pamela Burrell.

The event included remarks from President Tim Sands, Executive Vice President and Provost Thanassis Rikakis, and Head Coach of Virginia Tech Men's Basketball Buzz Williams.
