Virginia Tech Offers Forest Products Marketing And Sales Seminars
January 28, 2003
Virginia Tech's wood science and forest products department will hold continuing education classes: "Advanced Sales Training for the Forest Product Industry," Mar. 6-7, 2003, at the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center, and the "10th Annual Workshops on Forest Products Marketing," Apr. 24-25, 2003, on the Virginia Tech campus. These continuing education classes target individuals in the forest product industry interested in improving their current expertise.
The "Advanced Sales Training for the Forest Product Industry" seminar will emphasize how personal selling is the major form of promotion used in the forest products industry. The course is designed for individuals who are familiar with the forest products industry, but are looking to improve their self management and interpersonal skills to become better sales people.
The "10th Annual Workshops on Forest Products Marketing," will take place again this year introducing the basics of marketing to new marketing and sales personnel, and update current personnel of changing factors affecting the industry. The program will concentrate on the fundamental principles of marketing and salesmanship as they apply to the forest product industry.
