Virginia Tech Board of Visitors Committee on Research to meet Dec. 3
The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors Special Committee on Research will meet Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 9 a.m. in the Torgersen Hall Board Room (Room 2100).
The committee will receive an update on research funding, major research initiatives and continue discussions about the university's research goals.
The Board of Visitors is the governing authority for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. The Board is composed of 14 members, 13 of whom are appointed by the governor. The fourteenth member is the President of the Board of Agriculture and Consumer Services, who serves ex officio. The term of office is four years. In addition to statutes in the Code of Virginia, the Board is governed by its own bylaws.
