Students enrolled in Tammy Henderson’s Parent Education & Practice course will be serving the local community regarding parenting issues from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27.

Interested parents are invited to the Virginia Tech Child Development Lab on the first floor of Wallace Hall for this program. Parents will be able to choose from four topics:

Bye-Bye Baby Babble: a program that addresses the importance of healthy language development in toddlers and provides activities centered on the use of music, sign language, and play.

Fun with Food for Toddlers: nutrition and healthy toddler development using parent-child activities.

STEPS: Skills, Tactics, & Ensuring Potty Training Success: supports parental efforts related to potty training and toddler development.

Boundary Building for the Active Child: designed for parents and children to support families in balancing work and home responsibilities.
