“Dance of Nations” is a night of dance performances, music, and food. It showcases the diversity at Virginia Tech and is a popular event for both the Virginia Tech and Blacksburg communities. This year the Council of International Student Organizations will host 16 student groups who will share their culture through dance and music.

Those groups include, Bamboom Dance Crew, Marathi Dance Team, United Council of Fraternities and Sororities, Japanese Cultural Association, Nepalese Students Association, Iranian Society or Virginia Tech, Virginia Tech Indian Classical Fusion, Latin Link, Virginia Tech Bhangra Team, Filipino Student Association, Salsa Tech Performance Team, Bollywood Rockers, Association of Chinese Students and Scholars, Association of Bangladeshi Students, La fusion Dance Team, and Hill and Veil.

Following the “Dance of Nations” performance, an after show event will take place in the Graduate Life Center Multipurpose room, where organizations will sell merchandise and some of the culinary creations of their respective nation.

“Dance of Nations” is the kickoff event leading up to International Education Week, Nov. 17-21, which offers the campus community another opportunity for cultural events, activities, and fairs. All week long events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
