Free flu shots available for university wage employees Oct. 28

Virginia Tech will hold a flu vaccination clinic for all wage employees on Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in McComas Gym.

University wage employees who attend this clinic may receive the seasonal flu vaccine, and the H1N1 vaccine if it is available at that time, at no cost. Participants are asked to bring their Hokie Passport with them to the clinic.

This clinic for wage employees is in addition to seven other flu shot clinics to be held on campus for faculty and staff beginning Sept. 30.

The Virginia Department of Health Emergency Preparation and Response Division, New River Valley District, in cooperation with Virginia Tech’s Office of Human Resources, Schiffert Health Center, and Office of Emergency Management, secured 1,500 vaccinations for this free clinic for Virginia Tech wage employees.
