Hokies United -- the Virginia Tech student-driven volunteer effort organized to respond to local, national, and international tragedies -- is selling Hokies Helping Haiti T-shirts at the University Bookstore on campus and the Volume Two Bookstore on University City Boulevard in Blacksburg.

The T-shirts sell for $10 each and can also be ordered from the University Bookstore. All proceeds will help support Partners in Health, a charitable organization that has been providing health care in Haiti for more than 20 years.

In response to the devastating impact on Haiti of the largest earthquake in 200 years, Hokies United™ is promoting a university-wide relief effort that also includes fundraising events, a public education campaign, and a drive to help college students in Haiti continue their studies.

For more information about fundraising events and other ways to donate to Hokies Helping Haiti, visit the Hokies United website.

A video about the T-shirts can be found online. In the video, Katie Masoero, of Marlton, N.J., a junior majoring in civil engineering in the College of Engineering, talks about the idea for the T-shirt and its design and production.
