Editors note (posted March 14): Parking Services is now offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the vandalism to the parking booth at the garage.

The Virginia Tech Police Department is investigating a Vandalism with Destruction of Property to the attendant booth at the Perry Street Parking Garage on the Virginia Tech campus.

The vandalism was discovered on Feb. 27 at 3:08 a.m. The windows to the attendant booth were broken out and the traffic gate attached to the booth was broken in half. The contents of the booth including a cash drawer was damaged or broken.

The suspects are unknown in this case, but may have suffered lacerations as a result of the damage.  The motive for this incident is unknown and incident remains under investigation. The Virginia Tech Police Department is requesting assistance from any persons who may have witnessed the vandalism or have further information.
