Virginia Tech’s Multicultural Programs and Services is celebrating its annual Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month, which runs through Oct. 15.

This year’s theme is “History, Heritage, and Honor.” Activities and events related to this theme and to Hispanic-Latino culture in general are scheduled throughout the month. Events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.

The dinner will conclude Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month with dancing and Latin performances, as well as a showcase of the Latino Association of Student Organizations’ constituent groups. Tickets are $7 per person, or $10 per couple if purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased by emailing Erlan Guzman of the Latino Association of Student Organizations, or by calling 703-863-8756.

  • The Latino Comedy Chaos College Tour featuring comedian Bill Santiago on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 8 p.m., at Colonial Hall in Squires Student Center; and
  • Party in Pink Zumba Class on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 6:30-7:30 p.m. in McComas Hall. Admission is free for this Latin rhythm-inspired workout class. Party in Pink T-shirts will be on sale for $5, with proceeds benefiting Virginia Tech’s Relay for Life.
