Virginia Tech’s 2012 Black Alumni Reunion will take place March 15 through 18. This year’s reunion will be filled with educational, social, and inspirational events as we work to impact the lives of alumni, students, staff and faculty, and the local community. Come prepared to network with old friends and enjoy good food and fellowship.

Thursday, March 15 at 1 p.m., join fellow classmates for a round of golf at the Virginia Tech Golf Course or make plans to gather for a welcome reception at 8 p.m. at Bull and Bones restaurant on South Main Street in Blacksburg.

Many events are planned for Friday, March 16 including a session on alumni career resources from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Assembly Hall at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, tours of various locations around campus, the reunion kickoff dinner at 5 p.m. in Owens Banquet Hall, the Overton R. Johnson Step Show at 7 p.m. in Burruss Hall, and a party at 9:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Blacksburg.

Saturday, March 17 includes events that focus on black success programs in addition to a speed-networking fair from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center, the black alumni scholarship dinner and influential black alumni awards ceremony from 7 to 9 p.m., and dancing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The reunion will close Sunday, March 18 with a spiritual celebration from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center.
