Students in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies spent three years with their teacher, Akshay Sharma, designing a game to create financial literacy in women who live in some of the world’s poorest regions.

Many can’t read or write, but they can learn about microfinancing by playing the game. Cards show images of business assets (cattle, for example) to show the women how pooling their assets for microcredit loans can lead to prosperity. The game is currently being tested with a pilot group of women in India.
