Nneka Logan has been appointed an assistant professor in the Department of Communication at Virginia Tech’s College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences.

Logan is one of 14 new faculty members at the college this fall. These new hires are part of the college’s ongoing efforts to attract renowned scholars to strengthen and expand its teaching, research, and engagement programs. More than 70 full-time permanent faculty members have been added to the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences in the past three years under the leadership of Dean Sue Ott Rowlands. 

Logan’s research areas include public relations, corporate discourse, rhetorical studies, and diversity. She is teaching courses in public relations. 

Logan holds a Ph.D. in communication and a master's degree from Georgia State University, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia.
