Jung Eun Lee has been appointed an assistant professor in the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech.

Lee is one of 27 new tenure-track faculty members at the college this fall. The new hires are part of the college’s ongoing efforts to attract renowned scholars to strengthen and expand its teaching, research, and engagement programs. The college has added more than 100 full-time permanent faculty members in the past four years.

Lee’s research interests include price promotion and advertisement, specifically, how they affect customer perceptions and behaviors; and small businesses. She will teach fashion presentation techniques and fashion analysis and communications.

Her scholarship has been published in the Journal of Product & Brand Management, The Research Journal of the Costume Culture, Journal of the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles, and Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Lee received her bachelor's degree Hanyang University (South Korea) and her master's degree and Ph.D. from Ohio State University.
