Virginia Tech has announced the search committee for a new dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.  Current Dean Jack Davis announced earlier this fall that he will be stepping down from the position in the summer of 2017.

The search committee will be chaired by Executive Vice President and Provost Thanassis Rikakis. Members of the search committee are:

  • Ann-Marie Knoblauch, associate professor, School of Visual Art
  • Andrew McCoy, Preston and Catharine White Fellow and assistant director, Myers-Lawson School of Construction and associate professor, Department of Building Construction
  • Susan Piedmont-Palladino, professor, School of Architecture + Design and director, Virginia Tech’s Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center
  • Susan Sterett, professor and associate chair, Center for Public Administration and Policy and director, Metropolitan Institute
  • Nora Stover, senior executive secretary, School of Architecture + Design
  • G. Don Taylor, Charles O. Gordon Professor and interim dean, College of Engineering
  • Dane Webster, associate professor and director of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Technologies, School of Visual Arts
  • Joseph Wheeler, professor, School of Architecture + Design

Virginia Tech has engaged Witt/Kieffer to assist with this search and the search committee welcomes nominations for the position.
