The Moss Arts Center joins Blacksburg High School to celebrate its “Year of the Artist” with a special exhibition of student artwork that will fill the center’s gallery spaces. The exhibition opens with a reception on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. and will be on view through Dec. 20.

The work will be on display in the Miles C. Horton Jr. Gallery, Ruth C. Horton Gallery, Sherwood Payne Quillen '71 Reception Gallery, and the Francis T. Eck Exhibition Corridor, located in the Moss Arts Center at 190 Alumni Mall. The galleries and all related events are free and open to the public.

The 2017-18 school year marks the fifth anniversary of the new Blacksburg High School facility. In recognition of this milestone, the school has designated this academic year as the “Year of the Artist” and is featuring events that showcase the various ways students express themselves artistically – through performance, visual arts, academics, literary arts, science, and athletics.

The Moss Arts Center exhibition features a broad selection of artwork created by Blacksburg High School students in commemoration of this year-long celebration.
