Chance Logan Jett, 21, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018.

He graduated from Massaponax High School in 2015. He was attending Virginia Tech with future aspirations to become a lawyer and have a career in local politics.

Chance was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He always had a witty comment for his friends and family. He loved music. Chance was frugal and thrifty which was easily made known by one of his favorite hobbies, "junking" as he called it.

He was preceded in death by his Nanny, Flossie Powell. Chance is survived by his mother, Annette Jett; his father, James Jett; two brothers, Cory McCarthy and Austin McCarthy (Mary); a sister, Morgan Jett; two nieces, Olivia and Amelia; a nephew, Adam "Leroy"; his maternal grandmother, Connie Champ; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Deana Jett; and many other loving extended family.

The family received friends on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Burial followed in Mine Road Baptist Church Cemetery.
