The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation has announced promotions of the following research faculty for the 2017-18 research professorial promotion cycle:

Promotion to research assistant professor:

  • Elizabeth McNeil, biomedical engineering and mechanics in the College of Engineering.
  • Sarah Misyak, human nutrition, foods, and exercise in the College of Agriculture and Life Science.
  • Pierre Olivier, electrical and civil engineering in the College of Engineering.
  • Timothy O’Shea, Hume Center.
  • Bianica Pires, Biocomplexity Institute.
  • Shuo Geng, biological sciences in the College of Science.

Promotion to research associate professor:

  • Christopher Kuhlman, Biocomplexity Institute.
  • Chunhong Mao, Biocomplexity Institute.
  • Samarth Swarup, Biocomplexity Institute.
  • Rebecca Wattam, Biocomplexity Institute.

Promotion to research professor:

  • Martin Chapman, geosciences in the College of Science.
  • Raquel Hontecillas-Magarzo, Biocomplexity Institute.
  • Alan Michaels, Hume Center.
