Lockheed Martin on campus Sept. 4 and 5, job offers and virtual reality demos

Lockheed Martin, developing critical technologies to solve global security issues, will be at the Inn at Virginia Tech on Sept. 4 and 5, 2018 to recruit a variety of engineering and buisness majors, including computer science, aerospace engineering, computer programming, software development, finance, and accounting.

Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., The Inn at Virginia Tech
Students can attend Lockheed Martin Tech Talks to hear from leading engineers, researchers and experts from across Lockheed Martin’s technology priorities, specialties, and four business areas:
- Aeronautics - where the F-35 advanced fighter aircraft is manufactured along with other leading-edge air capabilities and fixed wing aircraft
- Rotary and Mission Systems - where rotary wing helicopters like the Blackhawk are built along with the Littoral Combat Ship
- Space - where the Orion spacecraft is built along with space situational awareness capabilities like satellites are manufactured; and
- Missiles and Fire Control - where advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems are built
Tech Talks will be followed by student networking with Lockheed Martin executives from 6:30-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., The Inn at Virginia Tech
Lockheed Martin recruiters and executives will be on campus to make on-the-spot offers to students, make connections with Virginia Tech leadership, and showcase interactive demos that bring to life what it’s like to fly an actual F-35 Combat Fighter. Shuttle service will be provided from Goodwin Hall from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. and free parking available at the Inn with Virginia Tech hang tag.
