Fresh from the release of a new single from an upcoming album, Grammy nominated country-pop singer and season three winner of NBC’s singing competition series “The Voice” Cassadee Pope performs at the Moss Arts Center on Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

A Moss Arts Center Student Ambassadors’ Choice event, the performance will be held in the center’s Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre, located within the Street and Davis Performance Hall at 190 Alumni Mall.

A singer with a bent toward both pop and country, Pope’s powerhouse voice, inimitable presence, and endless charm led her to a victory on season three of “The Voice.” Her 2013 full-length debut, “Frame by Frame,” reached number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart. Its lead single, “Wasting All These Tears,” was named Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards in 2014.

Her newest single, “One More Red Light,” was just released last week, following Pope’s March release of the single “Take You Home.”

In 2017, Pope received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance with singer Chris Young for the hit single “Think of You,” and she has received nominations at the American Country Awards and People’s Choice Awards.

Pope has toured with Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, and Rascal Flatts, and earlier this year returned to “The Voice” as an advisor to coach Kelly Clarkson’s team.

Blacksburg's own The Jared Stout Band will open the show for Pope.
