Four things to know about Ring Premiere
Virginia Tech introduces a new collection of ring designs for each class. The tradition spans more than 100 years. The latest design will be unveiled Oct. 9 at Ring Premiere.
Here are four things to know about the annual tradition.
1. It's a chance to see the big unveil. Virginia Tech is one of a few colleges and universities that redesign their ring collections each year. The Class of 2020 will unveil its design at the premiere. you can also snag a free class t-shirt at the event.
2. Enjoy fireworks on the Drillfield after the premiere.
3. Check off No. 14 on the Hokie Bucket List: "Wearing the tradition," by ordering a class ring. The collection can be viewed in the Squires Williamsburg Room. Share your story online using #WearTheTradition.
4. Celebrate ring namesake University Distinguished Professor and poet Nikki Giovanni and class sponsor Maj. Gen. Randy Fullhart (Ret.), commandant for the Corps of Cadets. Selected by each class, the ring namesake and sponsor are honorary roles.
