Virginia Tech is hosting its second summer reunion weekend — and it's time to make plans to attend.

Reunion Weekend 2019 is June 6-9. Registration is now open.

The four-day weekend will have live music, dinner, and fireworks on the Drillfield; a kids carnival; lunch on campus at D2; a welcome from President Tim Sands; a special performance at the Moss Arts Center; and plenty of tours and seminars to explore campus.

The schedule is available online.

Last year was the first expanded summertime reunion. In the past, individual classes have held reunions to celebrate their milestone anniversaries on various weekends throughout the fall.

“We’re excited to build on last year’s success,” said Matthew M. Winston Jr., senior associate vice president for alumni relations. “We launched this new tradition last year, and what we heard overwhelmingly from Hokies was how much fun they had. We’re looking to make this year’s event even bigger.”

Alumni celebrating milestone reunions will still be able to connect with their classmates. This summer’s reunion will have special events planned for Hokies reuniting for their fifth through 45th anniversaries (1974 – 2014), but the weekend is open to anyone who wants to participate.

Early bird registration is now open, and the cost is $150 for adults, $50 for children ages 6-12, and free for children under 5 years old. Hokies who register before March 1 save up to $45.

The cost of the weekend includes all tours and seminars, lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday, brunch Sunday, and beer and wine all weekend.
