What: Ever wonder where the international award-winning FutureHAUS was assembled? Find out by touring the 11,000 square-foot Research + Demonstration Facility (RDF), one of Virginia Tech’s most unique research spaces. The RDF is a living-learning laboratory for the College of Architecture and Urban Studies (CAUS) and hosts a multitude of hands-on learning spaces for students and faculty. Additionally, the RDF houses workshop spaces, digital fabrication and robotics labs, a thermal test cell facility, and much more. The RDF will serve as a launch pad for a range of upcoming CAUS initiatives set to catalyze real-world learning opportunities for students on the Blacksburg campus.

CAUS faculty members will be available to meet with members of the news media interested in tours, research demonstrations, and CAUS' hands-on learning initiatives.

When:  Friday, April 26, 2019 and Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 4 - 9 p.m.

Where:  Research + Demonstration Facility, 185 Inventive Lane, Blacksburg, VA 24061 (located at the end of Plantation Road)

RSVP:  Members of the media who plan to attend are asked to RSVP to Holly Kobia, hkobia@vt.edu, 540.231.3598.
