2019 Outstanding Student Awards

Eleven graduating Virginia Tech students received the 2019 Outstanding Student Awards from their respective colleges.

The Outstanding Student Awards recognize exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and service by a student from each of the university’s eight colleges and the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Recipients have a minimum grade-point average of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale and are selected by faculty and students within their respective colleges.

The Undergraduate Student of the Year recognizes a graduating senior who has achieved overall excellence during their undergraduate career at Virginia Tech. This recognition is awarded to a student who has exceptional and balanced achievement in academics, leadership, and service. The Undergraduate Student of the Year is coordinated by Student Affairs.

The Graduate Student of the Year award recognizes a graduate student for their character, service, and outstanding contributions, and academic achievements. The Graduate Student of the Year is coordinated by the Graduate School.
