The Virginia Tech Police have arrested two men on multiple charges related to a robbery that reportedly occurred on Oct. 22, 2019 in the Squires Student Center Parking Lot, located at the corner of College Avenue and Otey Street. Logan Bosley and Jonathan Maturano-Rodriguez were arrested in close proximity to the scene without incident.

Virginia Tech Police were contacted shortly after 9 p.m. on Oct. 22 and advised that two men had confronted a Virginia Tech student in the parking lot and demanded money. After being physically assaulted, the victim was able to leave the area and call police to report the incident. Officers conducting the investigation were able to identify and arrest the suspects in the immediate area of the incident. 

The investigation was aided by security camera footage and strong cooperation and awareness from the victim and community members in the vicinity.

No weapons were displayed and no one was seriously injured during in the incident.

Bosley and Maturano-Rodriquez are not students at Virginia Tech. Both are listed as living in Montgomery County. Bosley was served with warrants for attempted robbery, public intoxication, and driving after forfeiture of license. Maturano-Rodriguez was served with an arrest warrant for attempted robbery.

Both individuals are being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.
