Virginia Tech continues to enhance the safety, security, and public health features included within its comprehensive Hokie Ready app.

In commitment to continuous improvement and to help bolster access to critical COVID-19 information, Virginia Tech Emergency Management consolidated COVID-19 resources within the Hokie Ready app. These resources are available through a new functional orange button at the top of the app’s homescreen.

When the university is impacted by an emergency event or incident, this button will be updated with the latest up-to-date safety information, easily referenced by Virginia Tech community members.

In the case of COVID-19, the button leads to details around testing, case reporting, and additional support resources for the entire community.

Released in August 2020, the Hokie Ready app offers critical safety and emergency information for the university community. The free app is available for Android and Apple devices. The app’s many features include emergency contact lists, a platform to report crime tips, emergency-specific response guides, the Friend Walk safety feature, the Hokie Health ✔️ daily health screening tool, and much more.

Please read on to learn more about the app's new COVID-19-related offerings.
