According to the 2021 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Online Programs rankings, Virginia Tech’s online master’s degree in information technology is the nation’s fourth best and is ranked No. 1 for veterans. The online graduate engineering program has also maintained a position in the top 20 of the Best Online Master’s Engineering Programs this year, with a ranking of No. 16.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, where he was deployed to Iraq and Italy, Parks returned to Blacksburg and will graduate on Dec. 18 with a double major in economics and computational modeling and data analytics, both from the College of Science.
