FORWARD Campaign features stories of resiliency
From: Student Affairs
FORWARD is a series from Student Affairs featuring Virginia Tech students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have faced, overcome, or learned from life's obstacles and setbacks. FORWARD aims to normalize the conversation about hardships we endure and to encourage resilience. Related resources are available online at the Emotional Well-Being webpage.
In her blog post, Virginia Tech junior Arden details her experience with homelessness as a 13-year-old girl, describing it as the catalyst that led to her becoming the independent woman she is today. Her definition of “home” has shifted. It’s not a house or a town. It’s people. It’s a feeling.
Arden is studying management and marketing in the Pamplin College of Business. She’s a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and Dance Company at Virginia Tech.
