COACHE to engage Virginia Tech faculty in job satisfaction survey
From: Office of Executive Vice President and Provost
Virginia Tech faculty will soon be invited to participate in the COACHE Faculty Job Satisfaction Survey. The Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) provides an instrument for faculty at colleges and universities nationwide to assess their experiences regarding promotion and tenure; the nature of their work; institutional policies and practices; and the climate, culture, and level of collegiality on their campuses.
The objective of the survey is to provide university administrators with actionable information to improve faculty recruitment and retention efforts.
Input received from this survey has been instrumental in developing programs and policy to support faculty at Virginia Tech. You can learn more about COACHE by visiting their website.
Email invitations to participate in this survey will be sent from COACHE to Virginia Tech faculty in early-mid February. The survey will close in April and the results will be shared with the university community in fall 2020.
