Leaving campus for the summer? Don’t forget your bike
May 10, 2019
Going home for the summer? Don’t forget to take your bicycle or find a location to store it over the summer.
Beginning June 27, Parking and Transportation will tag all bicycles left on campus. Following that:
- Bicycle owners will have two weeks to remove the tag from their bike.
- At the end of the two-week period, all bicycles that still have tags on them will be impounded and held for 120 days.
- Impounded bicycles may be retrieved after the owner presents proof of ownership to the Office of Parking and Transportation at 505 Beamer way.
- There is a $25 impound fee that must be paid to retrieve the bicycle. After the 120-day period, all bicycles that have not been claimed will be sent to the Surplus Department.
