Noise alert: Police training June 7-10

From June 7-10, between 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., the Virginia Tech Police Department will be conducting departmental skills development training in the proximity of Oak Lane.

The university and surrounding community may notice a large police presence and sirens on Tuesday, June 7 - Friday, June 10, related to training activities.

Also during this training, the community may expect to hear a one-time loud, banging noise emanating from a breaching device. 

Access to the Oak Lane area beyond Cook Counseling Center will be restricted or closed throughout the week.
