The following events are scheduled to take place on campus and have been approved as exemptions to University Policy 5000: University Facilities Usage and Events.

Gobblerfest 2017 (Student Engagement and Campus Life)
09/08/2017 | 4-7 p.m.  | Drillfield 

This student organization fair is an annual events that includes representation from more than 500 student organizations, departments, and vendors who will setup tables on the Drillfield to showcase their organizations/businesses. The event will include  music from the main stage, carnival rides, and a pep rally. Sound checks are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and will take place during class changes times and/or after classes officially end for the day at 2:15 p.m.         

Ring Premiere (Class Systems and Student Alumni Associates)
10/03/2017 | Drillfield

This annual events will include fireworks.

Sukkot (Hillel)
10/4/2017-10/11/2017 | Drillfield

The vent will include a Sukkah (a three sided pipe and canvas covered hut decorated with paper crafts) that will be on display for the duration of the event.

Community Day (Police Department)
10/7/2017| 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Drillfield

The Virginia Tech Police Department wil host their 6th Annual Community Day during Family Weekend. The event will include amplified sound for music. A sound check will occur before 11 a.m.

Phi Sigma Pi is hosting a 5K in honor of a brother who is killed by a drunk driver
10/7/2017 | 8-11 a.m. 

This annual event will include amplified sound for music at the start/end of the race and a speaker at the start of the race.

Diwali (Indian Student Association)
10/22/2017 | 7:30-8 p.m. | Drillfield

This historical religious event for their “Festival of Lights" will include fireworks.
