Hahn Hall evening construction impacts through end of May
From: Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities
Starting Wednesday, April 28, there will be drilling operations under Hahn Hall associated with the chilled water infrastructure project. These operations will generate periodic noises that will sound similar to a pile driver and will likely create some vibration that may be felt within Hahn Hall. To avoid potential impacts to academic classes in Hahn Hall, construction activities will take place on weekday evenings starting after 6 p.m. and will conclude before classes begin at 8 a.m. the following morning. The pile driver sounds may potentially be heard in the neighboring vicinity, including the Duck Pond.
It is estimated the actual drilling may take up to two weeks to complete and related chilled water piping construction activities immediately adjacent to Hahn Hall are expected to conclude within approximately four weeks.
