Virginia Tech Cultural and Community Centers hosts annual welcome receptions for students, faculty, and staff to connect in identity-based communities. All new Hokies are invited to attend.

This year’s welcome receptions will take place Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the following locations in Squires Student Center:

·       American Indian, Native, Indigenous, First Nations - American Indian and Indigenous Community Center, room 122

·       Appalachian – room 236

·       Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander – Asian American Cultural Center, room 140

·       Black and African American – Old Dominion Ballroom, room 134

·       First Generation College Students – room 238

·       Hispanic and Latino – El Centro, room 309

·       Disabled Community – Williamsburg Room, room 226

·       International – Brush Mountain B, room 343

·       Jewish – Yorktown Room, room 235

An all-campus celebration will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Commonwealth Ballroom on the second floor of Squires, directly following the welcome receptions.
