Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign highlights charities through weekly Zoom sessions
From: Virginia Tech's Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign
Thanks to our generous employees, Virginia Tech’s Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC) is off to a great start since the kickoff on Oct. 1.
CVC is an annual workplace giving campaign where state employees raise and donate money to one or more of approximately 1,000 participating charities in their communities and across the commonwealth. Charities range from health and human services to animal welfare, from environmental conservation to medical research, and everything in between. There is a charity for everyone.
New this year, Virginia Tech employees will have the opportunity to interact with local charities through Zoom sessions. A weekly schedule can be viewed on the CVC website, listing the participating charities and registration information.
The following charities will present on Oct. 13 providing insight on their mission in our community:
Note: The Virginia Tech Foundation is a new CVC organization as of this year’s campaign!
This year’s campaign runs until Dec. 11. Employees can donate through an online payroll deduction, choosing either a one-time gift or a 24-pay period deduction. Donations should be made through the CVC website. Cash and checks are also acceptable. Pledge cards are available for those who do not have online access.
Questions or assistance should be directed to department representatives. For more information, visit the CVC website.
