Take part in these upcoming fundraising events to support the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign

We’ve entered the final few weeks of the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign. While we often focus on the importance of individual donations, fundraising events account for 50 percent of the money raised by the CVC.

As we work to meet our overall campaign goal, I encourage you to support the following fundraising events:

Family Feud – The Office of Sponsored Programs is playing Family Feud on Friday, Dec. 1. Teams must have four players and the entry fee is $20 per team. Join us in the North End Center from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Friday to see Family Feud!

Football Raffle – OSP is selling raffle tickets for a Virginia Tech football signed by Coach Fuente. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10. The drawing will be held on Dec. 1. Please see Jonathan Beasley or Sonya Murdock in OSP, North End Center suite 4200 to buy a ticket.

Calling all Chili Cooks – Did you miss entering to be Food Network’s Next Star? Well the next best thing might be winning Information Technology’s chili cook-off. To enter, please email angelc5@vt.edu by Monday, Dec. 4.  Please prepare enough chili for at least 20 people. The chili cook-off will be held in the downstairs lobby of AISB on December 6th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  There will also be silent auction items at this event.

Amazon Gift Card Raffle - Need to do some holiday shopping? Information Technology is hosting a raffle for a $100 Amazon gift card. Purchase raffle tickets from Angel Carter in AISB or Sara Perks in Torgersen Hall. The drawing will be held at the chili cook-off on December 6th!

Football Raffle – For those who don’t win the football to be raffled on Dec. 1, you have one more chance to win a football signed by Coach Fuente. Tickets may be purchased from Rachel Wilson in Human Resources (North End Center, Suite 2300).  The winning ticket will be drawn on Friday, Dec. 8 at noon in NEC room 2420.  All proceeds will go to Special Olympics.
Please support one or more of these great events. If you haven’t done so already, there is still time to make an individual donation by going online or filling out a pledge card.
