Proposals sought for Engagement Scholarship Consortium conference
From: Office of Engagement
The Engagement Scholarship Consortium seeks proposals for its 2019 conference, Deepening Our Roots: Advancing Community Engagement in Higher Education. The conference will be held Oct. 8 and 9 (Pre-Conference: Oct. 6-7) in Denver, Colorado. Virginia Tech, a Carnegie Foundation Community Engaged classified institution, has been an active member of the consortium since 2014.
The conference will take a retrospective look at the driving forces behind public higher education institutions' "return to their roots" of public trust; share insights into current engagement theories and practices; and provide perspectives on the future and next level of higher education's engagement with communities.
Proposals for presentations are due Friday, March 15. For detailed submission guidelines, visit the conference website - https://engagementscholarship.org/conference/esc-2019-meeting/call-for-proposals.
