Fralin Biomedical Research Institute scientists recruit women for new study exploring impacts of pandemic
From: The Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC
The MIND Lab at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC in Roanoke, Virginia, is looking for women not currently pregnant or the mother of a child younger than 12 months to share their feelings and experiences related to the COVID-19 pandemic in an online survey. The Maternal Influence on Infant Neurodevelopment lab is led by Brittany Howell.
In addition to sharing their experiences with the pandemic, study participants will be asked to answer questions about their personality and to complete a brief task measuring how they value the future.
Results of the WASP study – for Women and Stress in the Pandemic – have the potential to directly and rapidly inform social and medical practices to improve the health and support of women in various stages of life, both in Roanoke and across the nation. Please consider participating if you are not currently pregnant or the mother of a child younger than 12 months.
