Hokie Wellness to offer opioid overdose and naloxone education at Health and Benefits Fair

Interested in learning how to save lives? REVIVE! Training will be offered at the Hokie Wellness Health & Benefits Fair on Wednesday, Jan. 16, in room 143 at McComas Hall.
REVIVE! is the Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. REVIVE! provides training on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of naloxone (Narcan). Naloxone is a proven public health response to the epidemic of opioid overdose emergencies.
This training covers understanding opioids, how opioid overdoses happen, risk factors for opioid overdoses, and how to respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of Naloxone.
The training will be offered two times. Registration is required and the deadline for registration is Jan. 9. Register for the first session from 8-9:30 a.m. or register for the second session from 10-11:30 a.m.
