Prepare for the fall 2020 semester with Ready Resources for Employees

From: Human Resources

Human Resources has developed a Ready Resources for Employees page, a new one-stop-shop for faculty and staff as Virginia Tech gets ready for the fall 2020 semester. This website features series of links and resources to support employees in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, including information on new university protocols, telework, leave options and general employee wellness.

Guidance for employees

Due to the impact of COVID-19, the university will be implementing new protocols that all members of the Virginia Tech community are asked to follow. These changes aim to provide the best experience possible while maintaining the safety, health, and well-being of our campus community. Information and resources regarding these changes to campus can be found under the Guidance for Employees tab on the Ready Resources website.

Telework and remote work

One of the aforementioned changes is an increase in telework/remote work as Virginia Tech moves to modified operations, beginning Aug. 3. While not every position is well-suited for telework, Virginia Tech supports flexible and alternative work options when telework or remote work is not an option. The Telework and Remote Work Information for Employees and Leaders tab on the Ready Resources website features a guide and resources to determine if telework/remote work is a good solution for an employee.

Leave, wellness, and other resources

Ready Resources for Employees also features important information on leave, benefits, and general employee wellness that will be relevant as the fall 2020 semester begins.
