PageUp Learning Management System will email faculty and staff to complete training

The PageUp Learning Management System (LMS) launched Sept. 29. In its first phase, the PageUp LMS facilitates the automated delivery of compliance training and completion tracking.
Beginning Oct. 5, a staggered roll-out of reminders will be sent to faculty and staff who are not in compliance with their training beginning with full-time and part-time benefited employees.
Anyone out of compliance will receive an email from VT Training <firstname.lastname@example.org>. This is not spam. It is a notice from the new PageUp LMS. To ensure future notices are delivered, please indicate the email address is not spam by referencing the following instructions: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/1366858.
Required compliance training reminder emails can include:
- Compliance: Title IX/Policy 1025/VAWA: This course discusses the university’s anti-discrimination policies and applicable state and federal civil rights laws. Visit the Office for Equity and Accessibility’s website or contact Henry Yampolsky at email@example.com for more information.
- As of January 2020, the following two courses are required by the state for all employees. Questions about the Commonwealth of Virginia’s safety training should be directed to Virginia Tech Emergency Management at firstname.lastname@example.org or 540-231-4873.
- State of Virginia: Civilian Response to Active Shooter: This course is designed to improve the safety and survivability of victims of active attack and mass shooting events through the introduction of the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) strategy. Required at start of state service.
- State of Virginia: Employee Safety and Disaster Awareness: This course is designed to improve employee preparedness for on the job safety and other potential hazards. Employees will watch Virginia Department of Emergency Management's General All-Hazards Emergency Preparedness training videos. Required annually.
