The Division of Human Resources is hosting free workshops where you will learn everything you want to know about Social Security. Guest speaker and Social Security representative Jacqueline Weisgarber will answer questions such as: When are you eligible to receive retirement benefits? How does early retirement affect your benefits? What is the future of Social Security? When should you file for Medicare?

Attendees will also learn how to use their “my Social Security” online account and other online services.

The following sessions are available; Zoom sessions are available for those who cannot join in person.

No registration is required for the workshops; however, attendees are encouraged to go to www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount to create a “my Social Security account” and print out your Social Security Statement before attending the workshop. To add the sessions to your calendar, view the university calendar and search keyword “social security,” select the session you want to attend, and click “copy this event into your personal desktop calendar.”
