Additional Microsoft Teams training sessions offered this fall

Our first Microsoft Teams training event, Introduction to Microsoft Teams, was attended by 128 participants, and many of you asked for more Microsoft Teams training opportunities. In response, Collaborative Computing Solutions (CCS) is delighted to add several events to the calendar this fall, including brand new courses on Teams Meetings and Microsoft Live Events.

Each session will be led by an expert from Microsoft who will help you learn about key features that will let you start using Teams to enhance collaboration with your team right away. All sessions are free, but pre-registration is required.  Professional Development Network (PDN) credits are also available. Please note that you will need to register through the TLOS PDN network to receive PDN credits — links to registration through the TLOS PDN network or general registration are provided under the event descriptions below.

Microsoft Teams Meetings Training: Friday, November 6, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This course will demonstrate key features of Meetings while focusing on running more effective meetings using Microsoft Teams. The facilitator will demonstrate how to use Teams for the complete meeting experience. This includes meeting preparation, the in-meeting experience, and following up on action items after the meeting.

Introduction to Microsoft Teams: Tuesday, November 17, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This beginner-friendly course will introduce you to the Teams platform and help you better understand how to use its features to collaborate within your department, class, or group on projects, research, and day-to-day work.

This course is perfect for those who have little or no experience using Microsoft Teams. The instructor will provide a thorough introduction to the Teams platform and show you the basics to optimize online collaboration efforts with your groups. Our most recent Introduction to Microsoft Teams course drew 128 participants, and we got excellent feedback, so be sure to sign up if you missed out last time!

Advanced Training for Microsoft Teams: Wednesday, November 18, 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This is a more advanced course that will help you take your Microsoft Teams skills to the next level and become a more effective collaborator within the Teams environment. While ideal for those familiar with the basics of Microsoft Teams, you do not have to take the Introduction to Microsoft Teams course before taking this one.

Microsoft Live Events Training: Friday, December 4, 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This course will demonstrate key features of Live Events from an organizer and attendee perspective. Its focus will be on how to produce and manage the event, securing it from unwanted guests. Best practices will also be discussed to ensure the best experiences for organizers, presenters, and attendees.

We understand how time-consuming it can be to sort through the features of a new (or new-to-you) technology on your own, and CCS is here to support you. We hope you will take advantage of one or more of these training opportunities. For more information, please contact CCS at
