Interstate drivers needed for automated vehicle study

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) is seeking individuals to drive an automated research vehicle for a study. Eligible individuals will be asked to drive the vehicle on a pre-determined route, during peak traffic, on public roads in the New River Valley area. Participation involves a single three hour-long session during the day.
Volunteers will be compensated $100 for their full participation. All data will be kept strictly confidential.
To qualify, interested participants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 30-75 years old
- Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Drive on I-81, I-77, or Rt. 460 on a regular basis
- Use a smart phone regularly (not while driving)
