Students are invited to make “Connections Through Transportation” at a free career development event with transportation professionals across the industry on Friday, March 27, in Washington, D.C.

During the morning session, attendees will network with leaders in government, industry, and higher education, as well as learn about exciting career opportunities in the field. In the afternoon, speakers from the NSTB, Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division, and the Transportation Research Board will discuss current issues, trends, and ways to drive your career forward.

“Connections Through Transportation” is open to all students, as well as alumni and professionals, who are enthusiastic about transportation and encouraging professional advancement opportunities for women. Whether you consider yourself an engineer, research scientist, urban planner, accessibility and/or sustainability advocate, or a policy wonk—all are welcome!

Although this event is free, advance registration is requested in order to secure your spot. It will also help our organizers to match your career interests with those of professional attendees for the networking session. Register here: https://www.vtti.vt.edu/wts.vt.2020/

VTTI and the Virginia Tech chapter of the Women in Transportation Seminar International (WTS) are pleased to co-host this event in conjunction with the NTSB and Transportation YOU, and in celebration of Women’s History Month.
