Visualize biomolecules with PyMOL through the University Libraries

From: University Libraries

The University Libraries now offers the molecular visualization software PyMOL for use by Virginia Tech faculty, staff, and students. PyMOL is used for modeling and visualizing 3D structures of biomolecules such as proteins, DNA, RNA, lipids, and small molecules. It is possible to make high-quality images or rendors of molecules suited for publications.

User tutorials and more information about this powerful software are available through the University Libraries.

To learn how you can incorporate PyMOL into your classroom or research project, contact University Libraries’ Science Informatics Consultant and Health Analytics Coordinator Anne M. Brown at ambrown@vt.edu.
