Virginia Tech’s Giving Day postponed until Sept. 9
From: University Advancement
At this time, the health of all Hokies — students, faculty, staff, and alumni, on campus and off — is our top concern. In light of COVID-19’s widespread impact, we are postponing the university’s Giving Day, originally scheduled for this week, until September 9.
While Giving Day is an online event, we are very mindful of the challenging situation faced by our university community, nation, and world. The decision to postpone Giving Day was made after careful consideration and is one of many steps the university is taking in response.
The pandemic has been disruptive, and we anticipate the impact on our community to increase. We are working tirelessly to support our students as they continue on their educational paths.
We look forward to the time when we can resume our key Virginia Tech traditions, including Giving Day, and gather in celebration once again.
