Nominations open for Presidential Principles of Community Award

From: Office for Inclusion and Diversity

Virginia Tech's Presidential Principles of Community Awards nomination process will open on Jan. 4, 2019.

This award was established in 2013 and recognizes members of the Virginia Tech community who exemplify the Principles of Community and have demonstrated an active commitment to inclusion and diversity at Virginia Tech. This year, the university will present four awards: Long term and recent contributions, group initiatives, and depart/unit commitment. Please consider nominees in these four areas. Nominations may be submitted by alumni, undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff members, and community members.

The Office for Inclusion and Diversity sponsors the awards. Recipients are selected by the Commission on Equal Opportunity and Diversity (CEOD), and each will receive a monetary prize. All applicants will be featured in news announcements throughout the year.
